The Shitake pouf was designed as a compact seating object with a distinct sculptural character. The design consists of a rounded shape reminiscent of the natural contours of a mushroom.
The seat and base form one continuous structure, giving the object a monolithic appearance. Thanks to its soft curves, the form remains friendly and inviting, while the compact volume makes the pouf suitable for various interior contexts.
Within Contemporary design, the design reflects the approach of Marcel Wanders, in which playful references to natural forms are combined with a clear and recognizable design language. The object functions both as seating and as an informal interior accent.
The pouf is often used in residential interiors, lounges and informal meeting spaces where a compact and sculptural seating object is desired.
