Vitra is a Swiss design brand focused on furniture collections and interior concepts with a strong cultural and architectural foundation. The brand combines industrial design with a distinct attention to design history and contemporary development.

Vitra was founded in Switzerland and developed from the 1950s into a leading player in international design. The brand gained recognition through the production of designs by Charles & Ray Eames and George Nelson, later expanding through collaborations with designers such as Verner Panton, Jasper Morrison, and Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. Its design language ranges from iconic and expressive to restrained and systematic, depending on the designer and period. Typologies such as chairs, desks, and modular systems are approached as durable objects with long lifecycles. Materials such as plastic, wood, aluminum, and textiles are applied in an industrial and precise manner, often linked to innovative production techniques. Beyond manufacturing, Vitra also plays a role in preserving and contextualizing design, notably through the Vitra Design Museum and its architectural campus where work, life, and design intersect. The objects function both as practical tools and as carriers of a broader design culture.
