Break 401 Armchair
2 in stock
The 401 Break is a distinctive armchair designed by Mario Bellini for Cassina in 1976. Its architectural construction is characterised by a high backrest and upholstered side panels that together create a compact, almost enclosed seating space.
This example is upholstered in black leather and features a generously padded loose seat cushion. Its fully upholstered construction and subtly integrated casters combine the comfort of an armchair with the practicality of a meeting or executive chair.
The 401 Break reflects Bellini’s approach to furniture design during the 1970s, reconsidering traditional furniture typologies through volume, materials and construction. Its strong geometric character is softened by the leather upholstery and comfortable cushioning.
A distinctive piece of vintage Italian design, equally suitable around a meeting table, at a desk or as an individual armchair.
